Why do we lose our hair in the fall?

Ce qu'il faut retenir

Seasonal hair loss is inevitable. Find out why and how to anticipate it.

The scalp is composed of multiple small blood vessels allowing it to breathe and be nourished with oxygen and nutrients.

This is blood microcirculation. The more it is stimulated, the faster the hair grows.

Summer: a season conducive to growth

In summer, blood microcirculation is activated naturally, without external intervention.

Indeed, days are longer and sunlight is more intense. The synthesis of vitamin D due to the sun allows calcium to bind to the hair, making it much stronger and more lustrous.

The sun also allows for better oxygenation of the scalp, a tenfold increase in keratin production, and thus faster growth.

Autumn: Like leaves, hair falls

We saw that in summer, blood circulation didn't need any help for hair to grow (😉).

In autumn, however, the cold returns, and days shorten. The disappearance of the sun pushes hair into the telogen phase, and like leaves, hair also falls. This phenomenon is called telogen effluvium.

It leads to diffuse alopecia and hair loss without balding. Thus, in autumn, we lose more than a hundred hairs per day.

It's therefore time to roll up your sleeves and reactivate that famous microcirculation.

But how do you reactivate it?

A good In&Out routine

To treat telogen effluvium, there's nothing better than a dietary rebalancing and scalp stimulation. This is called an IN & OUT routine.

The IN&OUT routine is a technique for holistic management of the problem, tackling it from the roots.

- In Method: Take care of yourself from the inside through a balanced and varied diet to provide nutrients and vitamins delivered by the blood that irrigates the scalp. This method can be improved and combined with taking natural food supplements.

- OUT Method: Take care of yourself from the outside through an external supply of nutrients and vitamins using hair masks for the scalp accompanied by scalp massages promoting microcirculation.

Ingredients to prioritize in your formulas

Rich in erucic acid and allyl isothiocyanate, mustard oil will activate blood microcirculation and irrigate hair follicles.

Thanks to its high content of minerals, Brahmi powder will promote keratin production, making hair stronger. The calcium contained in this powder ensures the health of hair follicles.

These 2 ingredients combined activate scalp microcirculation.

Coupled with Aloe Vera, we have grouped these ingredients in our anti-hair loss masks, recommended for hair growth.

A scalp massage, with your head tilted downwards, is also a good tip to help the mask penetrate the scalp and provide all the essential nutrients for its proper functioning.

In addition to nutrient intake, this simple gesture allows for better oxygenation and therefore faster growth.
