DR.'S TIPS

Hormonal hair loss is linked to a hormone, DHT (dihydrotestosterone), synthesized by the enzyme 5α-reductase from testosterone. When in excess, DHT causes miniaturization of hair follicles, shortens the growth phase(anagen), and lengthens the resting phase(telogen). This leads to progressive hair loss.

The DHT Blockerwill inhibit the activity of 5α-reductase, thus preventing DHT synthesis and consequently hair loss induced by this hormone.

This food supplement has been formulated with powerful natural active ingredients, including Saw Palmetto, known for its DHT blocking action, at one of the highest concentrations on the market. It has no known side effects, even with prolonged daily use.

Precautions for use: We recommend not using another food supplement containing green tea to avoid any risk of overdose. In case of other medical treatments, seek advice from a healthcare professional. Not recommended in case of gastroduodenal ulcers or heart problems (arrhythmia, high blood pressure), or hyperthyroidism. Use by people undergoing antidiabetic treatment is not recommended. Do not use at the same time as Finasteride, which is also a DHT Blocker.

FORMULATION

By combining Saw Palmetto, a natural DHT blocker, with probiotics that enhance its effectiveness, our unique formula effectively combats hormonal hair loss while promoting regrowth.

Saw Palmetto inhibits the action of DHT, the hormone responsible for the miniaturization of hair follicles and thus for hormonal hair loss → study available here

Probiotics enhance the effectiveness of Saw Palmetto, as well as other active ingredients, by improving their bioavailability in the body.

Green tea extract, ginseng, zinc, vitamins B6, B8, and D3 stimulate hair growthby improving microcirculation and synthesizing keratin, a protein that makes up 90% of hair.

*Studies are conducted on active ingredients taken individually; results may vary depending on the type of hair loss and regularity of use.

The effectiveness of a DHT blocker does not depend on the name "saw palmetto," but on the quality of its extract.

Our formula is based on 300 mg of concentrated Serenoa repensextract, equivalent to 1200 mg of plant, standardized to 35% fatty acids, or 96 mg of active fatty acids—the fraction recognized in the literature as responsible for biological activity on androgenic mechanisms.

Without standardization in fatty acids, saw palmetto is biologically less relevant: raw powder or unstandardized extract = unproven efficacy.

It is this requirement for standardization, extraction, and dosage that positions our DHT Blocker among the most advanced formulations on the market, with an effective, controlled, and hormone-balancing approach.

List of ingredients:

Saw palmetto fruit extract (Serenoa repens)*, Vegetable capsule (coating agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose)*, Rice starch*, Green tea leaf extract (Camellia sinensis)*, Ginseng root extract (Panax ginseng)*, Lactobacillus acidophilus PBS066*, Zinc bisglycinate, Pyridoxine HCl including Vitamin B6, Reindeer lichen (Cladonia rangiferina) including vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol)*, Vitamin B8 (biotin).

*Of natural origin.

FAQ: Dr.'s Answers

How does MakeMyMask's DHT Blocker work? Is it really effective for hormonal hair loss?

Our DHT Blocker acts directly on DHT, the hormone responsible for hormonal hair loss. Excess DHT causes miniaturization of hair follicles, leading to hair thinning and loss. By blocking its activity, our DHT Blocker effectively and specifically combats hormonal hair loss.

Combined with the other products in the Hormonal Hair Loss Protocol, it provides a comprehensive solution to combat hair loss and stimulate growth.

How is MakeMyMask's DHT Blocker different from medications like Finasteride/Dutasteride?

Our DHT Blocker is a natural alternative without adverse effects compared to conventional drug treatments (Finasteride, Dutasteride). It has a milder effect because it is less concentrated than medications, which helps to avoid adverse effects as much as possible. In addition, it contains probiotics that increase the bioavailability of the DHT Blocker, thus enhancing its effectiveness and tolerance.

In summary, the benefit of taking our DHT Blocker is to have a clinically proven and targeted action on hormonal hair loss, while minimizing the adverse effects of conventional medications.

Is DHT Blocker compatible with birth control pills?

Yes, theDHT Blockeris compatible with most birth control pills. Its natural formula primarily acts on the scalp and body to limit the action ofDHT(dihydrotestosterone), the hormone responsible for follicle miniaturization in androgenetic alopecia. Saw Palmettodoes not interfere with the contraceptive efficacy of the pilland does not act as an anti-estrogen. It mainly acts peripherally on the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

Agbabiaka et al.,Drug Safety, 2009

In case of a specific hormonal condition, medical advice is still recommended.

Can DHT Blocker Hormonal Anti-Hair Loss 3 MONTHS be diluted, and is it compatible with medical treatment or another food supplement?

Yes. Simply open the capsule(s) and pour their contents into a glass of water, fruit juice, a smoothie, yogurt, compote, or any other food of your choice. Just mix before consuming. This method does not alter the effectiveness of DHT Blocker Hormonal Hair Loss 3 MONTHS, provided the recommended daily dose is respected.

The DHT Blocker Hormonal Hair Loss 3 MONTHSis compatible with treatments based on Minoxidil. However, it should not be combined with Finasterideor Dutasteride, which also act as DHT blockers. We also recommend not taking another dietary supplement containing green tea to avoid any risk of overdose. In case of medical treatment, seek the advice of a healthcare professional before use. This supplement is not recommended in cases of gastroduodenal ulcer, heart disorders (arrhythmia, hypertension), hyperthyroidism, or for people undergoing antidiabetic treatment.

How long does it take to see the effects?

DHT blocker supplements slow down hair thinning related to androgenic alopecia; it takes at least 6 months to see a stabilization of hair loss.

  • 3 months minimum: this is generally the time needed to start observing changes, as the hair cycle is slow.
  • 6 months: the first clearer results appear (slowing down of hair loss, hair appearing denser, improvement of scalp condition).
  • 9 to 12 months: this is the period when effectiveness is truly judged, with stabilization of hair loss and sometimes visible regrowth, if the product works well for the individual.

Its effectiveness relies on continuous action: thus, to maintain the benefits obtained (slowing down of hair loss, preservation of density), regular and prolonged use is recommended. Stopping treatment generally leads to the gradual resumption of the natural hair miniaturization process, but without a rebound effect.

Can this DHT Blocker lower fertility?

No, at the doses used, no decrease in fertility has been demonstrated.
The Serenoa repensacts through a peripheral and partial modulationof androgenic mechanisms (via 5-α-reductase), without blocking hormonal productionor disturbing the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.

Unlike medicinal antiandrogens, it has not been associated with impaired spermatogenesis, ovulation, or fertility in available clinical data in adults.

Evron et al., Skin Appendage Disorders, 2020
Agbabiaka et al., Drug Safety, 2009

Can DHT Blocker and Tricho-Caps 5F be taken at the same time?

Exactly. The DHT Blockeracts solely on DHT, whereas Tricho-Caps 5Faddresses the factors of reactive hair loss: microcirculation, nutrient supply to the hair bulb and tissues, stress, etc.

It is therefore entirely possible to take both supplements if your hair loss is hormonal but also linked to an event such as stress, seasonal changes, postpartum, illness, etc.

Is this a product for men only?

Non.

Are there any contraindications?

Usage is:

  • not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as a precautionary measure (indirect hormonal action),
  • reserved foradults.

Outside of these situations, saw palmetto is consideredgenerally well-tolerated, with rare and usually mild side effects (mainly digestive).

Does DHT Blocker affect hair growth? Is it compatible with laser hair removal?

No, not at all! DHT Blocker primarily acts on the DHT hormone and blocks its activity, but does not stimulate hair growth. It can therefore be taken in conjunction with laser hair removal, for example.
